2011 Hampton Roads Solar
Tour
Saturday, October 1, 2011– On the Peninsula
and Sunday, October 2, 2011 - Southside
The 2011 Hampton Roads Solar Tour is
brought to you by Hampton Roads Green Building Council, through its Homes
Committee, and is part of the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar
Tour.
All participants will be sent final event details and a tour map via email at least one(1) week in advance of the tour.
Tours:
The Self Tour is free, you may use the same ticket for both days.
The Bus Tour is $10 per person and at this time is limited to 15 persons each day. If registering for both Peninsula and Southside bus tours, please register separately. The buses will start from
Site 1 each day. See program for each
day for times.
Special Tours:
If attending the NASA Langley portion of the tour (1 Oct), they require additional information to access the facilities, please make sure your registration includes Full Name, Country of Birth and Citizenship. Attendance is limited to 50 people.
If attending the Norfolk Botanical Gardens portion of the tour (2 Oct), they require a list of names prior to the tour. Attendance is limited to 50 people.
Both of the special tours can be booked at the same time as your regular tour (self or bus).

Notes:
We strongly encourage you to visit
Sites 1P or 1S to start your tours, as they will have lots of things to show
and hand out. Note that the Virginia
Living Museum, Site 1P, will only be open to the tour from 10 to 10:45 AM, and
Site 1S, the Ernie Morgan Center, will only be open from 9 AM to noon. In addition, the buses will start from Site
1.
We will also be announcing the
winner of the Cabiroy “Energy2Equity” Challenge (http://energy2equity.wordpress.com/) at the beginning of the Tour at
Site 1P, so be there to see who has the most energy efficient house!
You should receive an email with links to the program guides shortly after you register. We will resend the email and links a few days before hand just to make sure those who have registered have the latest version of the program guides.
